If you leave Offenburg city in south-easter direction you will arrive in the hamlet Fessenbach. The small wine village lies at the foot of the Black Forest, surrounded by vineyards. Haus Bergle is located at the end of the village, near the forest and literally over the rooftops of Fessenbach.

Walking
Above the house the wine trail runs, from where you have a beautiful view over the Kinzigtal. Many hiking trails in the surrounding area are available and offer a varied program.

Swimming
Here in the Ortenau, we have a lot of baths and lakes, which provide cooling. Enjoy the sun shining more than 1700 hours per year and the mild climate.

Europapark Rust
You find the biggest amusement park in Germany in about 35 km distance. You will find more than 120 attractions, rides and shows in addition to its roller coasters, boating and rafting.

Offenburg is located South of Karlsruhe (66 kilometers away from Offenburg) and north of Freiburg im Breisgau (approximately 54 kilometers). The city is also known as the "Gateway to the Black Forest" and borders on the Rhine valley. Coming from the Black Forest, the river Kinzig flows through the urban area of the city, surrounded by vineyards. The baroque scenery of Offenburg's historical centre is a must-see. Offenburg also offers various hiking or cycling trails with a lot cultural events and restaurants.
